In trying to update a Rainbow installation from v 1756 to 1757, I'm stuck with the message 'Your database is up to date'.

I've checked security permissions and ownership in the database...that looks OK.  I tried stopping and restarting IIS, rebuilding the app., and removing the 1757 entry in the rb_versions table.  The updater just re-enters that line in rb_versions and I'm back staring at that dainty blue screen.  Ugh.  The log files don't offer much help either.

This exact issue has been discussed several times in the Rainbow Forums.  It seems there can be any of several problems, but the app. doesn't get specific about what's happening.  I'm thinking Rainbow needs a better way to let the administrative user know when something has gone wrong duting update.  This should definitely be looked at for the .next version.
